Hot new shit.

I’ve been online shopping a lot lately. Specifically beauty products. I’ve got a whole bunch of new makeup and skincare products that I’ve now had a chance to try out and want to share with the world. Because you know…my opinion is so important. I’ll share some of the new makeup in this post (I say some because I honestly don’t even remember anymore what’s new and what isn’t…I may have a problem you guys) and eventually I’ll do an updated skincare routine with some of my new favourite products.

Primers.

I kid you not, when I found out that Glossier was finally going to ship to Canada, I completely lost it. I could finally be as cool as some of my favourite U.S. bloggers (lol jk). Both of these primers are super hydrating and not tacky at all. They make me feel like a nice hydrated human being who has their shit together.

Concealers.

From left to right: Glossier stretch concealer, Urban Decay color correcting fluid, Tarte shape tape.

I’ll be honest with you guys, the Urban Decay concealer was just NOT doing it for me. It’s hard to blend and it doesn’t cancel out my redness at all. 0/10 would not recommend. Shape tape is suuuuper thick. Although I enjoy it, it’s definitely not my go-to for every day wear. Finally the Glossier stretch concealer is my current favourite. It’s lightweight, has enough coverage and I don’t even need to use foundation with it!

Other face products.

I’m super into highlights now (said in my best Valley girl voice). I got this Mary-Lou Manizer highlight by the Balm which I loooove for everyday wear. Along with that, I got a Sephora highlighting brush (because d’uhh you need proper tools!) and a Real Techniques “face brush” which I use for foundation application. Other purchases included the Glossier cloud paint cream blush, which I’m almost done with since I use it every single day and the Too Faced peaches and cream collection blush. Finally, I got the NYX finishing powder in Banana for my under eye area but I haven’t used it often enough to form a legitimate opinion about it.

Brows.

I repurchased for the 100th time my all-time favourite brow pencil – NYX micro brow pencil. Actually every single time I want this product my shade – taupe – is always sold out so on the rare occasion I actually do see it in stock, I legitimately buy all the stock they have on the shelf. I decided to see what all the hype was about and purchased Benefit’s ka-brow. Although I like it, I’m such a tool at doing brows and I can’t work fast enough with this product to be out the door in 2 seconds. I use it on days where I actually have time to do makeup. Finally, I got the Glossier boy brow (colorless). This shit is like brow glue. I love it so much. I love the messy boy brow trend and I can achieve it so flawlessly with this even though my brows are nowhere to be found.

Setting sprays.

The Too Faced spray maybe doesn’t hold that long throughout the day, but I like it! It’s mattifying and smells awesome! The Glamglow one gives a beeeeeutiful glow – I always get compliments about my skin whenever I wear it.

Palettes.

This palette was an incredible deal. All of these are full size and as I wanted to try both Hoola bronzers and since Dandelion is one of my all time favourite blushes, I couldn’t help myself.

I swatched these highlighters in Sephora one day, not even looking for highlighters. You know how they say your soulmate will show up in your life when you least expect it? That was one of those moments.

I didn’t own any eyeshadow palettes so far so I got this one since it has nice neutral tones for day looks, but it also has those crazy metallic shades which make me feel boujee AF.
