Interior Design Inspo

I’ve been considering doing some major redecorating at my place so I’ve been spending unreasonable hours on Pinterest, blogs and online furniture stores to figure out what I like. I’m sort of all over the place with the interior styles that I like but I think the one that I’m the most attracted to is mid-century modern because it seems to be the most realistic for my kind of living (too lazy to clean all the time, likes plants and has a grey cat who sheds like a maniac). But let’s just say that on a daily basis, I fantasize about Joanna Gaines, Megan Batoon and Alaina Kaczmarski coming over and decorating my house together, mixing all of their beautiful styles because I am lowkey obsessed with them all, especially Alaina’s house during Christmas time. Her house is literally #goals and I wish I could just move in and pet her dogs all the time.
Sorry Alaina, I promise I’m not some creepy stalker.

On that note, here’s some pictures that I’m inspired by!

Seeing as I gushed so much about Alaina (seriously though, follow her on instagram!) It only makes sense to show you some of my favourite pictures of her place. I just can’t get over how her place looks so effortlessly flawless.

Bedroom inspo. I really, really want a white dresser with gold hardware and like raw-looking wood legs. And I’ve been on the hunt for a grey headboard, which for some reason, to me, looks like one of the most grown-up furniture pieces to buy. I also want to try and incorporate more plants in my life but if I’m being real with myself, they are most likely going to be fake because I don’t know how to keep greenery alive. Can you also tell I like white? Lots of white.

The room that I’m the most confused about is the living room. I LOVE neutral colours but at the same time, I also love pops of colour and I think a cool green or blue velvet couch could look so awesome if styled right. I also love minimal decor pieces that make the room look empty but clean and breathable, but at the same time, I want to cover every surface of the room in books I collected over time. And don’t even get me started on the coffee table situation! Sigh.

What do you guys think?! Also, what are your favourite instagram accounts to follow for interior design? Let me know in the comments below! My insta feed is in dire need of some refreshing.
